David and Jenn's Baby Shower

Yesterday was the baby shower of my dear friends David and Jenn. You might remember that I had the privilege of making their Gender Reveal Cupcakes back in September.  Well, I was lucky enough to get to make the cupcakes for their baby shower.

Mom-to-be requested Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting and White Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream.

The Red Velvet Cupcakes were topped with a Cream Cheese Frosting rose in honor of sweet Baby Delilah Rose.

I am absolutely in LOVE with the wrapper I found for the White Vanilla Cupcakes. Very fitting for the shower's pink and green color scheme!

Sweet Baby Delilah will be here soon and Mom and Dad-to-be are getting ready! I am so excited for them and can't wait to meet Little Miss when she makes her arrival. It was such a wonderful shower and I am so thankful for David and Jenn's friendship. They are going to make wonderful parents!

Rylan's Birthday!

Last night I celebrated my nephew Rylan's 11th birthday with, what else? Cupcakes!

Mr. Birthday Boy requested marble cake so I, of course, obliged. He also got to be the first to to experience my Mix and Match frosting. In this case, to go with the Marble Cake, I brought my Chocolate Buttercream and Vanilla Buttercream together.

For an additional $2 per dozen you can bring your two favorite frosting flavors together through my Mix and Match option. Not only can you mix flavors but you can also mix whichever colors you want! Just think of the possibilities!

Don't forget! There is still time to take advantage of this month's Monthly Special! Candy Corn cupcakes are a great way to brighten up someone's day or pep up a Halloween party!

Have a great weekend everybody!

Fall is Here...

... And so are some ridiculously cute fall themed cupcakes!

Fall is my favorite season (if you can really call it a season in Texas). I love the fun of Halloween and the family togetherness of Thanksgiving. One thing I always equate to Fall (like I'm sure many do) is candy corn!  My mom loves candy corn and would always have a jar filled with it when we were growing up. So this year I thought I would use those little sugary delights as my inspiration for my Mom's birthday!

Candy Corn Cupcake

Starting first with the Candy Corn Vanilla Cupcake!  My Vanilla Cupcake was transformed into a yellow, orange and white tribute to candy corn. I know there are people who love candy corn and people who definitely do not. The great thing about today's cupcakes are that you can be either and still enjoy! As long as you like a Vanilla Cupcake with Vanilla Buttercream frosting you won't have a problem making friends with this Fall treat.

Moving on to the second cupcake of today, another candy corn inspired treat that is quite versatile.

The cupcake pictured above is a (NEW FLAVOR ALERT!) Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake with Vanilla Buttercream frosting. A decadent chocolate cake with a peanut butter surprise inside reminiscent of a chocolate peanut butter cup!. Topped with with Vanilla Buttercream in the candy corn color scheme, you could really pick any flavor cake you want!

These would be perfect for any Fall or Halloween themed party or, you know, just because. Head over to the Monthly Specials page for a little something to sweeten the deal (ahem, free cupcakes).

I hope everyone is having a great start to the week and is enjoying the what's left of the little cold snap we experienced over the weekend!

Eva's 4th Birthday!

Yesterday a very special little girl celebrated her 4th birthday with bouncy houses and some very pink cupcakes!

When it came to deciding what kind of cupcakes the birthday girl wanted there was one crucial requirement: PINK!

Pink Strawberry Cupcake

I was happy to deliver these Strawberry Cupcakes with (Pink!) Cream Cheese Frosting. These little beauties even came with a little extra glitz by way of sugar sparkle sprinkles (say that three times fast!).

I hope Eva enjoyed these treats as much as she enjoyed bouncing all over the place at her party!

Nikki's Baby Shower + Another New Flavor!

Today was a really great day. One of my best friend's baby shower was today and I happily provided the cupcakes.

Mom-To-Be requested a cupcake that brought chocolate and coffee together. What Momma wants, Momma gets! The second new flavor to be added to my menu this weekend is the Chocolate Coffee Cupcake with Coffee Buttercream!

Chocolate Coffee Cupcake

This cupcake can seriously be enjoyed morning, noon, or night (or anytime in between!). The chocolate chip studded chocolate cake has met it's match with this rich coffee buttercream. For the moment this is my new favorite flavor combination, and I am not a big coffee drinker. I've always loved the smell of coffee, but when it came to drinking it...meh. This cupcake, though, is everything I wish a cup of coffee could be!

Not to be outdone I also brought my Strawberry Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.

These little beauties are such crowd pleasers. You really can't go wrong with this flavor combination.

Before you head into a new work week, here are some more pictures of the sweet treats from today:

And lastly, thank you Nikki for letting me part of such a special day. I cannot wait for your sweet baby to be here so I can spoil him or her with whatever cupcakes he or she wants!!

Introducing the Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl Cupcake!

I'm happy to announce a new flavor has been added to the menu!

Meet the Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl Cupcake!

Underneath the Fresh Strawberry Buttercream frosting you will find a delicious strawberry cake with a generous swirl of cheesecake baked right in!

It's almost too pretty to eat! "Almost" being the operative word there.

These cupcakes were inspired by my wonderful sister, Rae, who is celebrating a birthday today!

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful big sister a girl could ask for, and the most loving Auntie I could ever wish for Scottie to have!

Red Velvet and More Cookie Dough

This is a busy week for Erica's Cupcakery! Two birthdays, an office Goodie Day, and a baby shower.

For now, I am focusing on the office Goodie Day that took place today that featured two very special flavors.

Red Velvet Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake with Cookie Dough Butercream!

Red Velvet Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Red Velvet Cake and Cream Cheese Frosting is such a classic flavor combination that can please even those people that claim not to be "big sweets eaters" (ahem, my husband).  I even heard, after the fact, that this cupcake was thoroughly enjoyed by someone who doesn't even like Red Velvet Cake. Just something to think about.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake with Cookie Dough Buttercream

Oh, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake, what can I say? This cupcake is officially my most popular flavor and for good reason too! If you haven't had the pleasure of trying this one out, I recommend you don't wait too long to do so. Surely there is a special occasion that you could use a dozen or two of these delectable little treats (make one up if you have too).

It makes me so happy that these two flavors got to meet and hang out for a bit before being devoured.

Before I leave you today, here's one parting image to solidify your need for something sweet:

Coming up this week: Not one, but TWO new flavors being added to the menu! Stay tuned :)
